From 1991 to 1997, Mr. Rom engineered and effected the turnaround
of a failing division of a Japanese electronics manufacturer into one 
of Canada's most successful private electronics companies

Specific accomplishments included:

• Complete overhaul and repositioning of a stagnant product offering
• Cost rationalization to ensure profit in the first year of the turnaround and increasing profitability for each year following.
• Over 1000% revenue growth in less than 6 years (i.e. Sales of over $80 million). 
• Geographic expansion of sales and manufacturing operations into the US and Europe.
• Senior management recruitment and training to ensure the continued growth and success of the operation.   

These accomplishments were recognized by Canada's business community through:

• Ontario Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Business Achievement Award of Merit (1994).   
• Arthur Andersen's 50 Best Managed Companies Award (1996)
• Profit's 100 Fastest Growing Companies in Canada Award and FedEx Exporting Award.(1997)
• More importantly, the turnaround resulted in an increase of 3000% in shareholder value.

Recent accomplishment:

• Project management for electronic security in the Toronto new airport terminal
• Project management for electronic systems Ottawa  new airport.
• Part of the management team at Girit project Inc. (VDI http://www.visualdefence.com/) (Recognized by profit's magazine the fastest growing company in Canada. 2003 and 2004)
• Consultant to small to medium companies in the area of sales and marketing, international purchasing, engineering development and general management.
• Establish successful practice in the area of options stock market.
